Designing a travel app that not only tells you about possible things to do in a city, but can show you WHAT TO EXPECT.
Onlo was a conceptual travel planning mobile application that would not only show all the places a user could explore in a new city, but also show the user video reviews/short-form content about those locations. My role was to design the minimum viable product (MVP) of this app, show off the concept to potential investors, and then improve the design of the application as time progressed.

BACKGROUND
TripAdvisor, Yelp, Expedia, and others help us plan travel, but they all rely on text-based reviews. We read, but rarely see what a place is really like. If resumes aren’t enough to land a job, why should we trust only written reviews to choose where to eat or explore?
That’s where Onlo would have come in—a platform for short-form video content showcasing real experiences at restaurants, attractions, and more. Whether you're planning a trip or sharing your own adventures, Onlo was to offer a visual, authentic way to discover and document places around the world.
See it before you go.
